The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program  has Expanded
and It's Deadline has been Extended, Says Bard

Even more help is available for families who need extra cash to pay their home heating bills this winter, said Rep. Ellen Bard.

The state has extended the deadline for the LIHEAP  ( Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) to April 30, 2001, expanded the income eligibility levels and increased the maximum crisis grant available.  . This program helps pay heating bills and covers weather emergencies through assistance grants.
