Bard Announces Sprint Scholarships
HARRISBURG
– Rep. Ellen Bard (R-153) today announced the availability of a scholarship for individuals entering graduate study for the first time in the fall of 2001.According to the Montgomery County lawmaker, Sprint Corporation, in conjunction with the National Conference of State Legislatures
’ (NCSL) Women’s Network, will award four scholarships of $2,500 each to persons pursuing an advanced degree in political science, public administration, public policy or a related field.The scholarships will be based on a variety of factors, including scholastic achievements, written statements by the applicant, community/school involvement and letters of recommendation. Applications and supporting documentation are due no later than June 29, 2001, and are available through Sprint at 1-800-796-3464.
