24-hour Recycling Drop-off Center, 2201 Florey Lane, Roslyn, PA 19001Free mulch is available during regular Township business hours at the Public Works Yard next to the Recycling Drop-Off Center. The Recycling Drop-off Center accepts clear and colored glass, aluminum and tin cans, car batteries, lawn debris (branches and leaves which can be made into mulch), motor oil, newspaper, paper products, cardboard, #I and #2 plastic, and tires (off the rim). The center does not accept furniture, concrete, dirt, cleanfill, or hazardous materials (such as paint or pesticides). Hazardous materials may be disposed of at Montgomery County Hazardous Waste sites. Call 610-278-3618 for more information.
Curbside Recycling
Trash Day Recycling: Includes clear and colored glass (blue bucket); aluminum and tin cans (red bucket); yard waste, including grass clippings and leaves (30-gallon brown biodegradable paper bags sold by the Township); brush and tree limbs (bundled and tied, maximum 3 feet long and 3 inches in diameter); vacuum leaves (rake leaves curbside for vacuuming when red and white signs indicate); holiday trees (January). Trash and recyclables must be curbside by 7 a.m.
Monday Curbside Recycling: Includes newspapers, hard books (with covers), paper plates, pizza boxes, telephone books, office paper, cereal boxes (insert removed), paper cups, junk mail, school paper, cardboard, hand towels, and magazines. Place items in green bins, brown market bags, or bundled and tied.
