Curbside Recycling
Trash Day Recycling: Includes beverage cans, steel cans, tin lids, all color
glass jars and bottles, plastic containers-clear or colored with a number one or
two on the bottom; yard waste, including grass clippings and leaves (30-gallon
biodegradable paper bags sold by the Township); brush and tree limbs (bundled
and tied, maximum 3 inches in diameter); vacuum leaves (rake leaves curbside for
vacuuming when red and white signs indicate); holiday trees (January). Trash
and recylclables must be curbside by 7 a.m.
Monday Curbside Recycling: Includes newspapers, hard books (with
covers), paper plates, pizza boxes, telephone books, office paper, cereal boxes
(insert removed), paper cups, junk mail, school paper, hand towels, and magazines.
Place items in green bins, brown market bags, or bundled and tied.
Corrugated cardboard - please flatten gift wrap, manila file foldersk, 6 or 12 pack
soda carton carriers red bin comingle mix (same as trash day) - beverage cans,
steel cans, tin lids all color jars and bottles, glass, plastic, clear or colored with a 1
or 2 on the bottom.

Curbside Recycling
Trash Day Recycling: Aluminum, tin, bi-metal cans, and glass containers of
any color may be recycled in your recycling container. Please remember to
remove the lids and neckbands from all glass containers. Ceramics, light bulbs,
plate glass, drinking glasses or lead crystal will not be accepted. Magazines,
junk mail, office paper, and phone books may be tied with twine or placed in
brown paper bags. All cardboard should be placed in your regular trash. Paper
placed in plastic bags or cardboard boxes will not be collected.
Public Libraries
Services include lending books and multimedia items, children’s story hours,
public Internet access, delivery to the homebound, Adult Literacy and ESL
programs, rental of two community rooms, practice exams for standardized tests,
among others.

Reduced taxicab fares for senior citizens. Any Montgomery county resident
65 years or older is eligible; residents 60-64 years of age are also eligible under a
more limited program. Special door-to-door service is available for passengers
whose physical or mental condition prevents them from reaching the entrance of
their destination independently. Passengers in wheelchairs will receive assistance
in a lift-equipped vehicle; if the passenger wishes to travel in a vehicle not
specifically equipped for wheelchairs, the passenger must have someone at both
ends of the trip who can transfer them into their seat and store the wheelchair in
the trunk.

PACE:
Helps older Pennsylvanians to pay their prescription expenses. Eligibility
is limited to those over 65 years of age, with a total income $14,500 if single
$17,700 if married, who have lived in PA for 90 days and are not presently
enrolled for prescription benefits under the Medical Assistance program.
PACENET:
The requirements for eligibility are the same as above, with the exception of
the total income being $14,500 - $23,500 if single or $17,700 - $31,500 for a married
couple. Also, if you qualify for PACENET, you must satisfy a $40 monthly
deductible before PACENET will begin reimbursing your prescriptions.
